Journaling | 10 prompts to get you started

What's our collective view on journaling? I've been experimenting a lot with it lately and I must admit its bringing me a lot of clarity I didn’t know I needed. While I'm very much attached to my devices (I wont even pretend not to be) a great way to get out of my own head I find is to write down my own thoughts. Somehow using Notes doesn't do it as well as physically writing it down. Anyone else agrees with me?

Apparently writing accesses your analytical left brain and while that is working, the right brain is free to create. That sounds like a perfect wholesome combo that's hard to come by without the element of writing involved.

If you want to give it a try here are some prompts that I find really helpful...

1. What is one thing that would make you smile today?
2. What do you think you can do more of?
3. How do you define success in your current role?
4. What does a “perfect workday” look like?
5. How will you resolve any stress you feel today?
6. Where are you indulging in negative thoughts?
7. Name two things you’re thankful for at your job.
8. What is one thing you can do today to feel more organized?
9. What makes you feel most empowered?
10. What’s something you feel obligated to do and why?

If you try it, let me know how it goes..
